I just did a couple of posts to the GG I then had to re-edit in Discourse as between posting to GG and here stuff got stripped out I had to manually add back.
I do not understand why Discourse does that?
As far as I understand it GG legacy is supported. But I think it an issue there are “translation” problems?

My impression is that the import process assumes that the text of the Google Group posts is in Markdown. In Markdown, if you type an HTML tags it is interpreted as the actual tag, and not the text which is why we lose things like <div> or <$list>.

I do think it an ongoing issue in that posters to the GG may well not understand what they need do to get properly posted here?
I don’t want to create issues but I do think posters there need to be more aware of what happens?
