Redrawing Motovun Jack

Has aged Moggie developed lamefootitis in the posterior sinestra legus? And Backus flatus. :grinning:

He has had his struggles with Tiddlywiki and us, I guess. Now in his old age we want to use another image. Even worse we want to stop feeding him tiddlers constantly from all over the world and only deliver notes. Not easy to be an aging cat.

Does that account for the Incipient Dromedary Syndrome? :slightly_smiling_face:

A vero.

Has she suffered over years from neckus shorticus?

Thank you to everyone, I’m enjoying this thread, and glad it’s still going.

I like @duarte.framos designs, particularly this one:

I’d love to adopt that image, perhaps as part of the visual refresh in v5.4.0. I’d welcome ideas.

It is only tangentially related, but there’s a new cat-related development in my life: two little kittens arrived in May to ease the frustrations caused by my ongoing seizures. Their mum is a Maine Coon and their dad is a Ragdoll, and they seem to have a great mix of the characteristics of both. I don’t think they are compatible enough to work as stand-ins for Jack but maybe I can drag them into the project somehow…

Best wishes

Jeremy.

JR, one thing missing in past depictions of TW is it’s active GENERATIVE aspect.

TW’s spawn.
They are not just static mothers.

I wonder if …

1 – We could use the mammalian LITTER as a metaphor for TW?

2 – Your images above do show you still relate to catish analogies.

Meow! Meow!

We are still vocal even with feline complaints.

I vote that in New versions of TW that a “Tiddler” becomes a “MEOW”??

Awwwwww! Very cute. (the cats, not you ;))

Is that physics meltdown?

Is there a formula for “Awwww … ∞” relevant to finite cat appreciation?

@jeremyruston I was thinking we could also revamp the Find Out More tiddler along with the Bento layout for HelloThere.

Currently the images are a mix of different styles; maybe they could all be replaced with a new layout and a more consistent set of, say, cat themed matching images. This could include a few renditions of Motovun Jack along with a bunch of others. You new fuzzy acquisitions would be a fine addition to the pool of potential images.

We were actually discussing exactly that a few days ago in the Bento thread.

That would be great, thank you. I will reply separately to the Bento thread.

Color always breaks form. But two colored papers are often used in Origami.

At least it is a truely folded model and not some fake AI Origami. :grinning:

At this size (Why is it bigger in my quote?) it really resonates with me. Very Jack like. Having had many fury friends over the years they all had their very own character: hard to replace.

Hardly anything is more comforting than a purring cat. :cat2:

I hope you all das the TW on the side

I like the cat but it needs some definition in the lines of the legs and show the eyes etc to get a sense of the pose… This is an example of one i asked Sora to do which i think shows what can be done …or might be incorporated to Motovun Jack ?

  • Tiddlywiki the Tiger in a Tabby
  • Tiddlywiki the Tabby with a Tiger inside

Just putting that out there.

Cats are not always compatible with TiddlyWIki

They think they are transparent and know nothing about keyboards and computer mice.

  • From my current house sit
  • I will have to do a House sit in Oxford?

My feline coding assistants can be devious if I leave my keyboard unattended.

One day this week I returned to some code that I hadn’t touched for a few weeks. It failed with a catastrophic error when I tried to run it, despite the fact that I could have sworn that it ran properly when I was last working on it.

It didn’t take much forensic analysis to identify the culprit, indeed one wouldn’t have to be a programmer to spot it:

I too like this image. It looks like its been etched into slate

I see that on Jermy’s flickr that there is an album of photos of Jack [1] – they are wonderful photos.

I think it would be a good idea to make use these. I’m having a play … and that’s what TW is all about for me. Its playful, like a kitten.
