In the initial version it was not there. Only since last two or three days I am noticing this
Can you be more specific? For example, what happens after the black screen? Does the program exit, or does it remain black? Is the black screen a reproducible behavior or a probabilistic problem?
I close the app using the x
button in red color, then a black screen appears (as shown in the screenshot below) which remain so for some time and automatically go away. If I quit the app from dock icon also, it goes away.
During this time the exit portion in menu is inactive
Not sure if 4.1.1/4.1.2 has fixed this issue
Initial start up time is about may be 5 secs. After that the app is snappy-closing and opening takes only one second. Black screen issue is fixed now. The app is maturing nicely.
Split window of the app with a browser or vs code is very useful for a smooth functional workflow.
After maintaining the tiddlywiki-starter-kit edition for nearly two years, I believe I’ve gained a solid understanding of TiddlyWiki.
Triggered by a certain opportunity, I began a month-long period of intense development to create tiddlywiki-app. My goal was to build an app that I personally find satisfying — and so far, it’s looking pretty good. For me, it’s already close to stable and, to some extent, supports several TiddlyWiki CLI commands. It’s designed to be user-friendly.
Special thanks to:
- @jeremyruston: for creating such an excellent piece of software — TiddlyWiki.
- @Sttot: for the modern-dev framework, especially the example of manually shutting down the wiki, which was very helpful.
- @arunnbabu81 @pmario and etc: for your patience and feedback during the development process — it truly helped improve the tiddlywiki-app.
Is this read only ? Will edit done in phone be saved back to the wiki folder
Can the the android app by @well-noted or tiddiloid open such wikis?
It is currently editable and syncable.
This android app seems to be for a single file. This is different from the scenario for QR code scanning.
Can we share contents from other apps to the wiki opened in the mobile using QR code by android share feature
When you scan the QR code on your phone, you will only see a web page. It does not provide any additional functions except the ones that Tiddlywiki comes with.
Is it possible to open current tiddler of the active wiki in browser. Only the tiddler not the whole wiki. Similar to tm-open-window
command
Can this issue of not being able to select multiple paragraphs of text using cmd
key be fixed. Issue related to mouse could be device specific issue
Check the replies to this post related to node js wiki
I’m using an iOS phone and don’t have an Android device at the moment, so I’m not quite sure how it works specifically. I’ll check it out when I have time.
Still can’t research this issue
@oeyoews i replied wrongly previously. So I edited my reply.
Below is the reply to your message.
Right side is the editor of tiddlywiki.com in a browser
Left side is the editor in the app
cmd key is kept pressed and I am trying to select multiple sentences of text one by one
In browser it’s working and in the app the already selected text get deselected on selecting the next line
I had to compress the gif to make it less than 4 MB in size
I understand your operation. This should only be tested on macos
This bug also seems to be a limitation of electron
By the way, the codemirror6 plugin also supports this operation and is not limited to the os
The above is all the content. Due to personal time constraints, there will be no major updates in the near future.
Thanks again @oeyoews ! I recently just switched over all of my TiddlyWiki content to this and am going to only use this for a while - . I assume you still plan to at least maintain this? Do you use it yourself?
Of course, I am very satisfied with this software. If nothing unexpected happens, I will continue to maintain this software. When I recommend tiddlywiki to others, I only need to ask them to download this software without any additional configuration. It is truly out of the box.
