TiddlyWiki App: A Smooth User Experience (2025) for Multiple Platforms

I can do manual deletion…but will the wiki folder get removed from the app also if I do so…then it’s fine

There is no problem with this

For version 3.8.4, If you’re an Arch/Manjaro user, you can directly download the corresponding pacman package for your architecture, then run pacman -U tiddlywiki-app-*.app to install it. Alternatively, you can use the AppImage package or build the installation package locally using the PKGBUILD provided in the repository.

I do like the latest version 3.8.5 – Especially the new “Wiki” menu seems to be very practical.

But it seems the minimum window size on my Windows PC is set to 1840x770 or something similar. IMO that’s a bug.

The default minimum window size is 0.54 of the primary monitor. This seems to be a problem for multiple monitors, so I temporarily changed it to 800x600.

My main monitor is 3440x1440 and secondary is 1920x1080, so a percentage value is not optimal. 800x600 should be fine.

updated: th-server-command-post-start I can now use this hook to manually close an opened wiki. I have already implemented a preliminary version.

How is this feature useful …can you explain

Running multiple wiki instances will increase computer performance and memory. If you feel that your computer is slowing down, manually closing the wiki may be a good option.

4.0.0 supports tiddlywiki host parameter, supports opening wiki in LAN.

Can there be an option to open the current tiddler in an external application like vs code directly using the right click menu.

What are the applications of this feature?

Currently we have this, and this function may be added later

You can scan the code on your phone to access this wiki (under the same LAN)

This is how my wikis menu look like in version 4.0.1

Some options are missing here

There is no problem with this. It is conditional.

For example, a running wiki cannot be deleted, and a non-running wiki will not have the option to create a qrcode.

I opened and closed the second wiki just now------still QR code option is shown, but delete wiki option is not seen

I tested it on linux/windows and it seems to work OK.(4.1.0)
