Creating an alternative layout goes beyond adding or removing features from the default interface and allows you to create an entirely new layout from scratch.

Use the keyboard shortcut ctrl-shift-L on any Tiddlywiki (5.1.23+) shows a window and lets you to switch layout.

Very nice! I enjoyed looking at all the color schemes included.

I see value in sharing the different tiddler display formats independent of the Layout or theme and through the “Story Tiddler” cascade providing for both view and optional edit templates.
