TiddlyWiki App: A Smooth User Experience (2025) for Multiple Platforms

The prompt window is similar to this one (but if the folder no longer exists, no pop-up window will appear when deleting it)

3.8.0 update this feature.

Share option is better suited for mobile devices. But it’s there for desktop also.

Then there is a shortcut app for ios and mac os which can be used to share different contents using different templates.

I have done some configuration using shortcut app when I was using remnote app some years back. May be such things can be done here also

Will check it in some time and give feedback.

Edit:

I have three wikis created in the app. But only two are shown. I think the current wiki is the one which is not shown. Its better to show all wikis in this menu.

Both of the wikis are shown as running at the same time in the screenshot. So it would be better to give an option to close the wikis in the nested menu.

  1. Can there also be an option to open the wiki in browser as split window as well as full-screen window (could be shown in nest menu). This will make the workflow smooth.

  1. Also the right click menu for tiddler shall show an option
    a. to open the tiddler alone in browser as split window
    b. to open the wiki in browser as split window with the corresponding tiddler in focus

  2. Can the search text open in right click menu also be given as both in fullscreen and split window option

This is how the resize window options in browser looks in mac os.

But in tw-app, the window to left or right option is not active. See the screenshot below

Edit:

@oeyoews If the app was in split window when it was closed, on restarting the app can the app reopen in split window itself

This dialogue box is seen

But nothing happens.

The dictation option in the edit menu might be very useful when we feel lazy to type

My feedbacks are scattered in multiple posts. Hope you don’t miss any of them

Added a speech menu button to the edit menu, not sure if this is it

All wikis can be displayed, but some restrictions need to be added, such as running wikis cannot be deleted

Cannot close wikis individually due to limitations of the software itself

Currently the window manager really can’t do this. But I did add open in browser to the right-click menu.

By the way, is there no icon displayed here?

I updated a version. If it doesn’t work, you can send me the latest log

Can the split window mention here be added

This is out of the control of the program to a certain extent. There is no plan in this regard at present. Because I have not seen a similar solution. However, as far as I know, some Linux distributions are very friendly to window management and can automatically achieve similar effects.

I have send the logs in DM. Delete was not working

[Bug]: shell.trashItem() doesn't move file to trash when file is in OneDrive, instead it is moved to root of OneDrive · Issue #38541 · electron/electron · GitHub did see a related question

In the editor, text selection involving multiple sentences using mouse is little buggy. Some lines in the beginning gets unselected during the process.
Also holding cmd key to select multiple text doesn’t work

no icon for this menu

I understand. This is a case-insensitive issue with Windows file names. It will be fixed soon.

This seems to be a problem with onedrivie. Currently, I use trashItem to recycle the folder. Not sure if using permanent file deletion will fix this problem (but it seems a bit dangerous)

Recording a video might be more convenient for a better understanding. But I might not be able to fix this bug for now due to device problems
