I’d like to propose a change to the Discourse site. I’ve been a long-time user of Directory Opus, which I consider to be the best Windows file manager. They converted their forum to Discourse years ago.
I think their “header bar” at the top is very useful and could be helpful to new and experienced users here. Notice the narrow bar along the top of the page in the screenshot below. I’m pointing to one of five menus that open on hover. They are all helpful menus depending on what you need. The “Opus FAQs” menu, for example, points to specific posts in their Opus FAQs Discourse category (which only the developers can post).
I don’t know if we need as many menus and options as they have, but I think updating this Discourse to have a few handy links, similar to what @jeremyruston shared recently would be pretty helpful to some of us.
