As the title says- is it possible to navigate through tabs using keyboard shortcuts
A quick test using the sidebar tabs says yes, if you select one with a click then tab, you will tab through them and other elements on the page.
So critical is to ensure the focus is on the current tab, the focus may have moved from the current tab if you were doing things elsewhere.
This also works on buggyj’s story tabs plugin. Should work in the tiddler Menu bar plugin
I asked this question because I want to navigate through the tabs I created to the right side of the tiddler body as shown in this discussion using keyboard shortcut.
Any idea about the tiddlers related to the sidebar tab navigation ?
Have you tried selecting one of your tabs the hitting the tab key to see if they ate active?
Then the next thing is to ensure you can tab from tge left hand side into your tabs.
I dont know how to do that but it would help to know your current situation.
This one works. First I have to select one of the tabs, then I can navigate through the tabs using tab
and shift-tab
keys.
OK, Now you have to find a way to position your tabs as the “next item” from say the editor.
I do not know the answer, I am a big mouse user. Perhaps this widget can help https://tiddlywiki.com/#WidgetMessage%3A%20tm-focus-selector or this may be related https://tiddlywiki.com/#Hidden%20Setting%3A%20Tab%20Index%20for%20Edit-Inputs
