- A great hack out of @saqimtiaz’ sandbox which might be older, but I discovered it recently: Aggregating images for a spotlight gallery by RegEx and http-Request - #19 by JanJo
- Another interesting development derived from one of saq’s ideas was a refactoring of his great streams editor by @linonetwo, which at first glance seems to offer some improvements.
- As I like streams very much, a sidebar-tab to use it more freely to brainstorm while browsing other tiddlers is my personal contribution to this. Alas I just found out it is only compatible with saq’s original.
- I would also like to mention the results of the image-grid-overlay-competiton which also enters @Scott_Sauyet to these highlights.
- @Mohammad’s link to a website that helps to solve RegEx-Riddles has saved me a lot of time and frustration
- and I finally found @twMat’s controlpanel mentioned above: It is named boosters: Presenting: Boosters - a suite of functional stylesheets
…and I encountered it in @jeremyruston’s anniversary marathon which was the social Highlight of this year. I hope he will find the time to do some hangouts in the next time.
Making this list, I found out that in this year some tools I hoped to make my tinkering and work with TiddlyWiki even more rewarding stopped before I saw my desires fulfilled.
The difficulty to name the highlights tells me my feeling is right that some big innovations are still stuck in the pipeline - but there are also some less obvious things that could more easily be done for the code-wizards who did great work and reached 99%. So I will finish this year’s highlights with a announcing a wishlist for 2025.
(This is of course not saying that thou shalt not continue to post your further finings here…)
