Wouldn't it be good if you could click anywhere on the backdrop to close a modal?

…in many galleries for example this is a possibility. Wouldn’t it be good and easy to realize to have this feature in TW?

Hi @JanJo I agree that it would be a desirable feature. The last time that it was attempted we discovered that there are backwards compatibility issues that mean that any fresh attempt would need to require explicit opting in.

It would also be useful if default handling for escape (=“cancel”) and enter (=“ok”) could be applied

I was acually looking for a way to do this in combination with creating an overlaying sidebar.

Sadly I put the project aside when I couldn’t figure out a way to prevent interaction with tiddlers when the sidebar was open.

Maybe it could be turned into a plugin, to solve the backwards compatibility issue?
