Where is the Countdown Module? :-)

Thanks Jan. I certainly would be better dealing with some kind of standard CSS or SVG buttons. My difficulty is likely my low level of technical competence on the way you connect the bits up to integrate with the video itself.

Your pointer was helpful. Tx.

Hi Joshua,
here is an example from stackoverflow which works out of the box.
But for pausing I do not know how to do it.

Pie Timer.json (1.5 KB)

With a little modification you can set a time:
Pie Timer(1).json (1.6 KB)

Hi Joshua,
Still minimalistic, but now with buttons to start and pause.
Those who want the numbers to countdown can merge it with Erics fantastic solution.
Pie Timer(2).json (2.6 KB)

Thanks @JanJo, very useful example!

Very impressive! Maybe use <<color background>> instead of white for dark themed wiki ?

Yeah! You made it better!

I just stumbled upon a great timer made by Devin.

There’s no spinner yet but perhaps it could be merged.

Best wishes Jan

(P.S. I just realized that it has a somewhat strange way of counting seconds past a minute…this would have to be fixed)

Whoah. Very neat. The changing colours are ideal if you need a visual timer. I can already see one possible application for this for workouts for “box breathing” (5s in / 5s hold / 5s out / 5s hold … repeat). The trainee needs clear visual prompts to do the exercise correctly. This illustrates why having something big works. Sure it would be nicer to have a clock circle than a numeric counter–but right now I think you discovered a quite workable solution to a practical issue.

FYI, I have a bunch of timer apps on mobile phone. But none of them is ideal. I suspect we could eventually have in TW very flexible, elegant, scalable, visual/(+ maybe audio) timer systems.

Tx! TT

This is just an FYI for @JanJo & @telumire. For a simple audio / visual interface counter I do wonder if Florian’s TW implementation of SoundCite is worth playing with? In this case the time is set by the length of an audio file but the visuals of the interface can be styled.

(FYI, Florian is on GitLab.)

Just a side thought!
