Using hyphens as ul bullets (no don't)

I have some content I pasted into tiddlywiki, that uses a hyphen to represent list items;

- item 1
- item 2

I thought I would make this a legal equivalent to * in my wiki. Also allowing - -- and ---, except for the rule or <hr> which I will disable.

Can anyone see any problems with this?

  • I will also hack my version of autolist.

-- is en-dash –
--- is em-dash — in TW as it is for MD
