URL Fragment Text Directives: Link to text fragments in TiddlyWiki

@pmario recently mentioned the new url fragment text directive on GitHub. It allows to link to a target without using IDs (in TW used with tiddler title).

I did a little survey and found some good docs on W3C: URL Fragment Text Directives all major browsers support this.

I thought we may have a linky procedure or widget allowing us to link to a text, heading, caption inside a tiddler. For the start, we can limit this to link from a point inside a tiddler to another point inside the same tiddler.

What do you think?

Am generally favorable to this idea, I often find myself wanting to link to (or even transclude ), some particular part of a larger tiddler which does not quite justify being excised into its own tiddler

It basically adds a search from the begining of the dom for the text. I don’t see how we could use this for tiddlers.

You can try this one: https://tiddlywiki.com/#asdf:asdf%20Languages:~:text=language%20to%20the%20library%20by%20learning

The problem with the following link is, that atm TW prevents scrolling to the text-fragment, which should be default. … So we need to have a closer look here.
