…though it saves with Chrome and Edge. Has anyone noticed this issue? Now, in Chrome and Edge is possible to give Timimi access to URLs, though there’s not such an option in Firefox.
Confirmation of this issue is appreciated.

Working with previously installed Timimi and FireFox Version 132.0.2 (64-bit), What is your version?
Same here, Anthony, thanks. It fails to save only on Windows 11. It works fine in MacOS Sequoia and Windows 10.
I am using the latest Windows 11 Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100
otherwise known as 24H2 +, with no problem, I have a fading memory of reinstalling Timimi to fix something similar in the recent past.
Thanks again. Tried several fresh versions of Firefox (Latest v133+, ESR v128+, Legacy v115+. None of them work. Gave up.
Installed Mario Pietsch’s (pmario’s) File Backups. No issues so far.
I would not mark this as a solution, its only a workaround.
I belive we, the community, @pmario @jeremyruston need to bring Timimi into the community because it is in my view a critical part of using tiddlywiki extencivly and as a smart document. Timimi was the first true solution to what we once called the “Firefox Apocolypse” years ago.
My Windows is
I did just install the Timimi-extension with FireFox 132.0.2
I did install the latest helper-app as described at: Timimi — One saver to rule them all
It works as expected.
So if you remove the FF extension and reinstall it, it may start to work again.
You also could re-install the windows helper-app and test again.

In principle I agree. A reliable and efficient solution is needed and Timimi is/was one of them. Personally, I decided to use TiddlyDesktop because it’s effective not only with backups, but it has a few other useful features too.
A timimi-like solution is needed for Android to use tiddlywiki with browsers. Currently I use tiddloid, but that has limitations. I keep having to reload the tiddlywikis after syncing.
You would have to reload after syncing no matter what save mechanism you used.
It’s not the reload it’s that tiddloid keeps losing track of the wikis and I have to repoint it to the files after syncing.
Oh, are you using legacy mode? I don’t have that problem with TW’s set up with legacy mode. I’m actually not sure what the non-legacy mode is good for.
As far as I know it’s legacy mode. I’m not clear on the difference myself.
I use dropsync to sync with dropbox. The dropbox app won’t (or didn’t last I checked) let me choose where to locate the files. When synced, tiddloid tells me the file is no longer available, and I have to repick it. No issues anywhere else as the file location and name are unchanged, just the contents.
We kind of drifted off-topic here. Sorry for that.
Kept trying Timimi and solved the puzzle. The issue was my fault, not Timimi’s or Windows 11 settings’. Apologies for distracting the group with a non-issue.
I was using portable applications, and decided to use local applications, and in the process of cleaning up my PC and deleting the portable apps, I deleted the Timimi helper-app without re-installing it. Thanks pmario for reminding me of this simple task.
Thank you all for trying to help.
Been there done that. Glad it was an easy fix.
