TiddlyMap down or gone?

Does anyone know if this is a temporary glitch with TiddlyMap or is it not being maintained?

Thanks.

You can probably get it on the Internet archive/ way back machine as a temp measure.

I think GitHub - felixhayashi/TW5-TiddlyMap: Map drawing and topic visualization for your wiki

Is the latest update.

I already use it, but was more concerned if it was going to become unsupported.

Have you seen this post from Flibbles

Yes, I am building a replacement. It’s coming along swimmingly. Maybe 80% done with implementation and 20% done with documentation. I’ll be placing it up for early feedback soon.

I… might have contributed to TiddlyMap exceeding its bandwidth limit. I’ve been glancing at it a lot as I’ve been working, and it didn’t occur to me that I might get cut off. Unfortunately, I have no access to that website and Felix is gone. All I can do is download a version of the site if it comes back up next month. Maybe we should all do the same.

Is the new plug in approaching pre-release stage ? Just asking out of curiosity to see it in action

I’m able to get about 5-10 hours of work done on it per week. It turns out it is a much bigger project than I anticipated, but I am still confident I’ll get it out soon.

  • All the basic building block widgets are done. You can use widgets to construct all sorts of graphs.
  • The plugin is designed to be agnostic to the visualization engine. It currently has support for vis-network, and partial support for memgraph-Orb.
  • In terms of features, it’s already more capable than Tiddlymap, except when it comes to visualization customization. This can do node and edge coloring. Some physics, etc… But it’s way more responsive to changes and unique configurations. And exposing those features won’t be hard once the core plugin is out and tested.
  • I’m already using my own plugin for my other projects that need graphs (which is also part of the slowdown, because now I’m able to work on those projects more effectively, but I promise I’m still trying to get it out the door)

Right now, the big focus is to make it somewhat more familiar for people coming from TiddlyMap. That means an editable graph in the side-bar that can support different views.
