Talk Tiddlywiki: Some Statistics

Please have a look at the below image shows thread by number of views!

For attention of developers:

Does this statistics tell a story? Is MCL from @BurningTreeC the most wished feature in TW?

How about Tix from @telmiger? I think it has gotten a lot of attentions!

I would say MCL brings to mature TW a dimension of freer presentation that will help us get to even broader objectives. It is very easy to use and, i think, for many aims, liberates the interface.

Rightly so. It reflects well actual ways users want to compose tiddlers.

It’s flexibility is very useful. Matched to many use cases.

NOW, I might ask @telmiger to make it fully compatible with MCL?
BUT I think that has to wait a bit till MCL settles??

TT, x

I don’t think so. There have been 470 replies, which shows interest and there have been some very focal users. Which is OK to get feedback. At the beginning it was very much “in flux” and under heavy development.

While I do like the plugin. It’s not really for me. There are probably 400 views by me to remove the “not read” marker.

What use cases? I really can’t think of any. But it I imagine for people with large monitors it might be useful. For me, frequently on a 12 inch screen, the TW story river is often too narrow, especially when in preview mode.

It would be nice if we had some demographic values associated with various posts. It could serve as a proxy for interest world-wide.

I really understand that.
MCL is not for everyone.
But for some use cases it is really good!

That is the issue we face.
Being able to advance different architectures for purpose.

The diversity MCL brings I think is a very healthy addition?

I assume you asking about MCL…

Anything where you think in columns like …

START — ACTION — OUTCOME

I think the point is the addition of HORIZONTAL helps?

Obviously use cases matter to grasp it.

They will come, I am sure.

How WIDE your screen needs be to benefit simply is a very good question!

Best wishes, TT
