Spirit Bomb Wiki • a speculative record label of virtual beings

Hello Talk TiddlyWiki,

I am sharing one of the more ambitious TiddlyWiki projects that I’ve developed—the Spirit Bomb wiki—documenting the activities of the speculative record label Spirit Bomb.

My main concerns were learning to use and developing templates for each of the virtual beings, displaying assets and items associated with each, housing a deep repository of lore and backstory materials (e.g. the Lexicon) and presenting everything with a meticulous style and intrigue.

The Virtual Beings (Spirits) were bespoke creations developed in-house, in which we then partnered with musicians and producers to ‘ghost-write’ the music for each virtual artist. Despite the story which alludes to them being AI beings from the future, no machine learning or AI stacks were deployed in the character design or the music creation.

Open to your thoughts & feedback.
With thanks,

the lore is cool and the page styling looks awesome, but why does web3/blockchain/nft tech have to worm its way in to otherwise interesting projects  i was looking forward to the next gorillaz but i will have to stay away from this. great job on the tw though!! very distinctive, great use of images to make it feel a lot different than a normal wiki

Hi Gavin,

I’m super interested in this - I’m working on something similar wrt to virtual beings.

In stead of beings I’m exploring made up organisations as models for organisational development in the context of creative community projects.

I’m about to start two TW projects: One uses the step sequencer as a metaphor for organising. The other – Bench Notes – is a series of nano zines which share work in progress.

The latest Bench Notes is “Solstice Benchnotes” - it’s due out on 21 Dec.

I’m an artist interested in people, places and ideas. I’m based in the North West of the UK. I’m working with some musicians.

Cheshire is a county in Cheshire with a radio telescope. Solstice Bench Notes draws on the site and a conference held there on the summer solstice [3]

I would be really interested in exploring a collaboration

BTW – I follow you on Twitter [1]

Ironically, its fame comes not from the radio telescope, but from being the homeland of one of the coolest virtual beings (!!!) ever - the Cheshire Cat :cat: !
