Sidebar to hamburger menu on mobile

I’m sure this has been discussed. I did a quick search here and didn’t see anything quite like what I’m thinking unless I’m overlooking it.

What if core by default, in a future version, put the sidebar in a top nav hamburger menu? Or, would that add too much extra code? Or, do most like the sidebar collapsing where it does?

Thoughts: The sidebar contains the main title (name) of the wiki, so it might be useful in many cases to see it open initially.
In other cases people might want to hide it on big screens as well as on mobile.
