Quotation marks in text/markdown tiddlers

Hi there,

I’m loving TiddlyWiki so far but one thing I can’t manage to do is to escape automatic conversion of certain characters to a specific syntax whenever creating a new tiddler with type set to text/markdown.

Basically, I always get
" (quotation marks) converted to "
< converted to <
> converted to >
and so on, in the rendered version of the tiddler.

How can I avoid this?
I’m using

 • $:/plugins/tiddlywiki/markdown
 • $:/plugins/tiddlywiki/markdown-legacy
 • TiddlyWiki version 5.3.1

Even copying the QuickDemo from here https://tiddlywiki.com/plugins/tiddlywiki/markdown/ produces the same results.

Thanks for any help!

Welcome!

You should use the first one only. The second one is there for users that used the “old” one.

Can you post a text snippet here? I can not replicate the problem.

For me it works as expected at: https://tiddlywiki.com/plugins/tiddlywiki/markdown/

Hi @pmario
Thanks for your reply! Removing markdown-legacy works :star_struck: I’m so grateful
