Understood. @jeremyruston’s aim is good. I was just surprised how aggressive that site was.
I could not complete the signup without providing a LinkedIn address. I wanted to help but have no (and will never have a) LinkedIn account. Sorry.
I suspect based of former sucess as an open resource they have decided to monitise,
