Presenting: fieldvalueselector - select custom field values from dropdown

fieldvalueselector

is updated to work with newer TW versions. It saves you from having to remember and typing existing field values, instead allowing you to select them, like so:

Thus, it is still an edit template so it does not overwrite any core templates but the aesthetic cost is that the button is positioned below the other stuff.

@arunnbabu81 - you requested this.

@simon - I wish to delete the outdated version which is hosted here on tiddlyspot. I vaguely recall adding the suffix /controlpanel to the URL for this but it doesn’t seem to work, and overall it seems my password there doesn’t work (right? or did I just forget the password?). Thank you!

@twMat thank you. From where can I drag and drop the relevant tiddler. You haven’t given the link for the updated version in this post.

Doh! I’ve updated the OP now!

Thanks for the quick update @twMat

Oh my goodness, what a great tool. How did I miss this when it came out two years ago?

Would there be a way to tweak this so that after the list comes up, one can filter search to reduce the list down? As the list gets longer, it gets harder to get to the desired value. But hey, even so, great tool.

I am thinking of using this to list sources I am reading, and click on a source to add it to the field.
