Folks, I just got three 10 second power outages, 5 mins apart, while working on a tiddler in my key organiser wiki. Once the power was on and I logged back in I found little or no lost content. So I just thought I would share why.
- I am using a fairly high spec micro PC, not a laptop so have no UPS or other battery backup
I have the local storage plugin installed but since the wiki is usually saved regularly, it stores very little and not for long. With a successful save the tiddlers in local storage are written to the server or file, and local storage cleared. Thus I do not rely on local storage except for immediate needs.
A draft tiddler, even one under edit, seems to be included in local storage so it is very reliable.
If you have a critical wiki either single file or Server hosted consider doing this yourself.
