I noticed that I cannot start a new topic in the Plugins category for my Streams plugin. Is it possible to have topics in the root of the Plugins category, or would we need to have a separate sub-category for each plugin?
Needing to have a separate sub-category would be an obstacle for newer or less frequently discussed plugins. A plugins category in which we could directly create topics, and then tag with the relevant plugin name might be one way to go.
Sure, I can set that up. My logic was that categories are “free”, and so it’s kind of nice to have a dedicated forum per plugin.
But I can totally change the setting, and people can start with tags, and that way don’t have to wait for a category to get created by a moderator.

Cat-per-plugin is the way to go. “Natural” curation built in. Tagging works, of course it does, but tagging is a bit too ad hoc and “easily-forgettable”.
