In the next couple of weeks I intend to migrate the main TiddlyWiki site from tiddlywiki.com to tiddlywiki.org.
The motivation is to clearly position TiddlyWiki as a pure open source project and not a commercial entity. While there has not been any confusion within the community, I have anecdotal evidence that some new visitors question whether TiddlyWiki is commercial based on the .com domain.
The following sites will be affected by the migration:
- https://tiddlywiki.com → https://tiddlywiki.org
- https://classic.tiddlywiki.com → https://classic.tiddlywiki.org
The old URLs will still work, and be seamlessly redirected.
To make the migration possible, I will also be folding the content that is currently at https://tiddlywiki.org into the main site. (I don’t think the earlier creation of a separate .org site was a success, and I suspect that most users don’t know that the site exists).
