UPDATED to latest

Have you tried my bookmark tiddler, please do, I think it is a superior approach.

I will update the shared bookmarklet in my earlier reply

I’m not happy with “invisible” functionality. There is no feedback that something happened. Executing a javascript function without the ability for me to read it and without any user interation, will never happen in any of my systems.

I may be paranoid, but I do not click on links created by link-shorteners, for the same reason.

I do appreciate your cautious approach @pmario but don’t let it limit your ability to see the possibilities.

If you edit the tiddler the whole content is visible. It also lists the tiddlers that are in the package. I also intended to;

  • Have a separate decoder that could show you precisely the tiddlers and their content within the javascript function, so whatever I gave you, you could independently verify what the changes are it contains.
  • Another was to set either the created or modified fields to now, so the installed tiddlers appear in recent.
  • The point is once you verify a bookmarklet, it is only you who can place it in your bookmarks, and only you who can use them.
  • If you make these for yourself, which I do, the value of having a tiddler is it is easy to distribute to your browsers “once”, and I trust myself :nerd_face:

If concerned you can also create a bookmarklet of an import tiddler to review the tiddlers to be installed.

However I have found the technology, but it takes time to do the above, when for my key uses I don’t need them. I called for collaboration but did not get any takers.

  • The idea is you can go to Bookmarklets — Demos and tools it is after all open source;
    • Examine how it works
    • Make your own bookmarklets.
    • Bundle config tiddlers with the settings you want and drag to you bookmarklets.
    • Use advanced search > filter to list some tiddlers;
      • Create a bookmarklet tiddler
      • or drag to your bookmarks.

I did move our posts into a new thread because it’s OT in the other thread. We can discuss it in more detail here.
