Hi every one, i am new to this forum, so please forgive me if i do some thing wrong.
I have downloaded the TiddlyWiki and its great, now i have also downloaded some plugins like Shiraz and Refnotes.
The Plugins come as they are but without the really useful and well done help files.
To read the help on the plugins i need to visit the plugin-site online.
But now i had this idea to just import the whole help into my TiddlyWiki, so i have it all together even when offline.
And exactly this is the super great thing on TiddlyWiki, to have every thing together, even offline.
But now both plugins seem to come fro the same developer, and the help files on both plugins seem to be structured very similar.
When i import all the help-tiddies from the help site, from one plugin its all very fine.
But then when i try to import the help-tiddlers from the other plugin, there are some tiddlers with exact same name, and so it breaks the import.
This is very unfortunate.
Now i found an other Plugin that renames or renews links, when i rename Tiddlers.
With that i am Renaming now all help tiddlers from Refnotes like demo/… to Refnotes/demo/… and so on, i just move every helpfile to Refnotes/… and the rename plugin then will fix the links, mostly but not always, and because the help is so great and very big it is very hard to keep the overview and i dont know any more if i have renamed every thing or renewed every link, i do this for every file also the BibTex examples.
So i came to the conclusion that it may would be the best to just ask here…
May the developer has a simple solution to just fix all links and triddler-names, in a way that every tiddler and link gets prefixed with the plugin-name like Shiraz/… or Refnotes/… and may also to include the whole help into the according plugin, so that all gets imported with the plugin and so that i can use the help when offline, without visiting the plugin site.
To prefix all the Help-Tiddlers with the Plugin-Name would prevent name collision when importing the help.
In the Tiddly-Wiki where the help gets imported it would also help to keep order.
For Example, there are some BibTex References in the help as examples, i would like to keep them but separated from my own references, so i also rename them to Refnotes/leel… and so on while i want to name my references My/Project/… to keep all separated and clean.
Also i noticed, both plugins have same hashtags like “doc”.
May its also better to make them unique per plugin, like Shiraz_Doc and Refnotes_Doc.
I have read some stuff on the forum here, and i have read that the developer has actually some hard time, and that his university got destructed, i have seen some sign of life, and i also hope and whish the best to him, i am aware that it may takes some time until he will respond, so i keep renaming the help files manually and try to fix all links in my private import, but who knows, may you will see this, and may its just totally simple to you to fix all at once, just like to rename a folder? I have no idea about how this looks like in development, but sure it would make the plugins more complete and better to use for any one.
How ever, i am very thankful for your work, the plugins are really amazing, and from what i have seen very helpful.
And i understand that the TiddlyWiki core stuff needs to be minimalistic, but all the plugins which i have seen from this @Mohammad seem to be superb and i think they all belong at least to the plugin manager.
So i hope some one understands what i mean, and that i have postet it in the correct place and i which you a good time.
thanks for every thing!
