I'm back using TW again! I originally started using TW back in 2015

Hello everyone, I started using TW back in 2015 and have popped in every now and then. I don’t think you had a Discourse server the last time I was here though. Good move! I used to be known as Hegart Dmishiv, but I have retired that alter ego now.

My latest project is a public wiki for the mobile game Taonga Island Adventure, which I’ve been playing a bit of, lately. I had made a start on it on FANDOM, but I ran into some difficulties with their policies. So instead I have decided to create a wiki for the game using TiddlyWiki5 on TiddlyHost.

I have a lot to re-learn about using TW, but I know that the user community and the devs (hello Jeremy!) are very helpful, and I look forward to picking up again where I last left off.

Welcome back, If you did not do so in the past, look around for applications of tiddlywiki to store and build game worlds, a lot of people have already done it.

“TiddlyWiki 5” on Discord is a particular refuge for such enthusiasts.

Others have also used it to build finctional worlds for book authorship.

Thanks for that. For now I am just building a pretty traditional wiki about the game, to document all of the NPC’s, items, locations, quests, effects, experience level requirements, etc that are in the game. I hope eventually to expand it out to also include interactive maps of the various locations in the game.

Is this your creation ? Hegart Dmishiv — About

Yesterday I was searching for breadcrumbs in TW google groups - https://groups.google.com/g/tiddlywiki/c/uVEDz5Vvzjw/m/obYL3UrnCgAJ and found this breadcrumbs macro. What a coincidence that you joined this forum on the next day itself.

Welcome back :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, that was me back then. Please don’t ask me to further explain any of my workings from those days though. Since then I’ve had a couple of strokes and I am having to re-learn how to use TiddlyWiki almost from scratch. Thanks for the nice welcome though, and the memories.
