I want to better understand TW's Image Editor

TW’s native image Editor is very basic.

Even so it Is still useful for simple graphic tasks.

I have been trying to find where it came from.
So I can study and better understand It.

Does any developer know it’s source?

Thanks, TT

p.s. I also wonder if anyone ever made a plugin with an Image Editor with more features?

Here is a highly experimental, unsupported and barely tested plugin that adds an editor toolbar button to images allowing them to be edited in Photopea.

Photopea is a browser based ad-supported Photoshop clone that runs entirely in the browser, however you do need to be online to load it.

Thanks. Will try It.

Update: How do I download the plugin?

Drag the Photopea icon.

Photopea is a good, useful Full-On image editor.

Seeing it (as a PhotoShop / LightRoom owner) I clarified what I’m trying to do in TW!

I’m not actually interested in getting the best image editor.

Rather, it is about HOW to get the best out of TW’s native image editor to support TABLET graphics in the most lightweight way.

My idea now, for making hand-written graphic notes in TW, on a tablet, is that TW is okay, with a bit of UI love.

Thanks for your pointer though!

TT

I have an android tablet with a pen. a few times I have explored drawing more as I did with a pen when younger. although I never persisted to establish a good tool and practice a few times I have concluded that using a devices native tools or applications for drawing are usually the best, the trick is to find the best way to use it on top of or integrated with my preferred tools like tiddlywiki but first start with the best you can find.

I suspect like you could use an external text editor that saves into a tiddlywiki text area. one should be able to do this for images.

My current aim is to be able to use TW image editor to write hand written notes on tablet.

The main issue, I found, is keeping the input area stable (i.e. Fix the input tiddler in place). I put the editor inside a fixed position Tiddler.

Here is where I got so far …

there has been smart input devices or apps that allow you to produce real results, better than that. :cowboy_hat_face:
