I didn’t really know anything about HyperCard before but I think this video has merit and mentions it inspiring Tim Berners-Lee. It also brings us to TW5 itself.

I think many of these ideas made there way into HTML and built what we know of the internet, especial www or html pages, but where they were not fully implemented we can do much of that on TiddlyWiki as a local hypercard environment largely out of the box and also integrate it with the greater internet, but not with the full control. Personally some of my own work to introduce field handling and relationships in TiddlyWiki are in many ways steps towards this nirvana, at least within our wikis.
