Hungarian language?

Hi Experts,

I was not able to find the Hungarian language in the plug in libary.
Before I start to work on the translation I will ask the community if there is something half ready available. Especially the keywords for the user (not editor and developers) and the flag (it is the same as Italy but turned by 90° CCW) is important for me.

Is there someone else interested?

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

There is a translators edition: https://tiddlywiki.com/editions/translators/ which you can use to translate the UI strings. Once you are finished the whole UI should be in your translated language.

Once finished you may open an issue at GitHub with a Zipped version of the translators wiki. Jeremy will know how to create a language plugin.

The easiest way to get the flag SVG is from Wikipedia. Hungary - Wikipedia

<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="1200" height="600"><path d="M0 0h1200v600H0" fill="#477050"/><path d="M0 0h1200v400H0" fill="#fff"/><path d="M0 0h1200v200H0" fill="#ce2939"/></svg>

That code in a tiddler would be good to go.

Hope that helps
Have fun!

Hi @pmario,

thank you for tag answer.

There are 1016 Tiddlers to translate :astonished: and I hoped that I am not the first, one and only.
I have not the time and resources to translate everything and before not everything is translated I cannot open the issue at GitHub.
I will look for a solution in the meantime that works for the users only. The editors don’t need the the Hungarian content.

That’s OK. But do not “look for a solution” for too long. Every minute spent could have been spent on translating the stuff, instead of thinking about a workaround

So instead of reading and responding to my post here you probably can translate 10 to 20 buttons. IMO It’s just the decision to start, which may hold you back.

Just a thought.

I only know english and a bit of french but I am familular with the messages. Most are short and many make use of the same words. I doubt the total exceeds more than a few pages. You may even use translation software if you have the language skills to validate it. It is then nature of such messages To be small and many.

That is only the empty edition of course.

But thank you @stefan_from_germany for taking on this valuable contribution.
