Hello, new user here, so apologies if I missed something obvious.
Right now, I am getting a notification in the forum and an email for every new thread that is posted.
Is there a way to get fine-grained control over notifications to not get these notifications off new topics?
BTW, I saw this post and followed its suggestion to not turn on live notifications. But I still receive individual emails for new topics…
The settings are located, perhaps a little unintuitively, under Preferences > Emails, see this screenshot:
Set it as I have to receive no emails.
Other than global email settings, there are settings for every category and every post.
If you go to the main #discussion category you’ll see a little bell with a (1) in it. That sends you an email for each new top post. Click on the bell to change your settings.
This same bell also appears on individual posts.
You can also go to Preferences > Notifications > Categories and it will show you which categories have which notification levels set.
