I’m trying to remove the palettes I never use like Contrast (Light) and (Dark). opening the $:/palettes/ContrastDark file and deleting the entry seems to do nothing and I couldn’t find documentation about it.
If you open $:/palettes/ContrastDark and use the viewToolbar Info icon 🛈 then the advanced tab, you will see this comes in the core.
Deleting will only delete an overridden shadow tiddler if it exists, and the core or shadow tiddler is “restored”
A friendly suggestion is to ask the community here;
“what you want to do”
not the following;
"how to do something you hope ‘will do what you want’ "
I will assume you do not want people to select the pallette in Settings > Appearance > Palette?
Do not have $:/palettes/ContrastDark selected as the current palette
Open and edit $:/palettes/ContrastDark then remove the tag $:/tags/Palette and save, it will no longer be in the list.
In the question you asked “How to delete stock palettes?” comes without the why.
If you were trying to save space you would have to delete a tiddler in the core plugin and this is more difficult and will be changed if you upgrade the wiki.
