History of SQL video

This is an episode of a documentary series I enjoy,

The Rise of Oracle, SQL and the Relational Database

The Oracle Database ran on everything, but it worked best on a “slide Projector” :laughing:

This could be updated to;

The Oracle Database ran on everything, but it worked best on a “PowerPoint” :laughing:

I share it (the video), as it has a distant relationship to the work by @jeremyruston and developer contributors MultiWikiServer and SQLite

Speculation

I wonder if we can enable an alternative way to access data from our tiddler repository using SQL’s Query language?

What if we could “mirror” any single file or Node Wiki in a database, allowing other solutions and tools to access add, change and delete the database which then appears in the wiki?

  • This would open TiddlyWiki to further integrations and online shared wikis.

Tony:

There is an active project to interface TW to SqLite (an open source version with good SQL compatibility) available, that should be available in a few months.

Yes that is in part why I shared this.
