Hi @StS it’s not super helpful, but I do not see excessive CPU usage on macOS.
In the past, I could download a free Windows virtual machine from Microsoft to let me test TiddlyDesktop on Windows. Microsoft no longer offer those VMs, and so sadly I don’t have a route to being able to do any Windows testing anymore.
Can any other users of TiddlyDesktop on Windows perhaps confirm the problem?
Do you get the excessive CPU usage if you start TiddlyDesktop without opening any wikis, or does it only happen after having had a wiki open?
Well, this also happens in TidGi sometimes. Normally it is filter running , i.g. kin-filter rerun on each editor type. And CPU usage will be count to the app.
You can just try figure out what is running by using developertool-performance-record
What is lucky for me is high CPU usage happens on my own Mac, so I always debug using developertool-performance and figure out why very quickly.
