Help please! In trying to learn TW, this is one problem I am unable to get past:

I open DelphesNotesLight.html in my firefox browser,
I enter a new “Title” in the Getting Started tiddler,
I click on the red “save changes” button/Icon,
I click the “X” to close the tiddler, to test if the “saved” worked.

If I entered in 10 words in the “Title” of the tiddler I just closed, when I open the tiddler backup, I now have 10 different tiddlers!

What am I missing, what am I doing wrong?

Hi @housekid

Are you sure you use the latest DelphesNotes version ?
There was an issue in an older version which sounds similar to yours here:

Also quoting DelphesNotes’ author @Eskha

Hope this helps,

Fred

I have been beetlejuiced! (im the commentor, nit the creator)

and, I agree with the comment ^^

If you did enter something to the “Startup notes” and the title of the tiddler has white-space in it, it will be identified as several titles.

In TW if we need a link to a tiddler title with spaces it needs to be covered by double braces. eg: [[title with spaces]]

just a guess.

Thanks for the help, and I read the DelphesNotes’ author post. Right now, I think I’m in over my head taking on the heavy learning need to use this application! I’m having so many problems I can’t tell if my problem is resolved just yet. I’ll be back later! Thank you!

Here’s the link where I downloaded from::

Hello housekid,

To create anew tiddler, you normally just use the ‘+’ icon on the right sidebar.

The “startup notes” are just to define which notes you want to display at start up.
If the note you want to display contains space like pmario mentioned you need to use [[ ]] around.

The topic mentioned by tw-FRed was related to a corrected bug in another use case: creating a new tiddler from an existing topic containing spaces from the content sidebar.

Eskha
