I thought I would give Tiddlywiki on Fission a try as I would like to have access to image files and as far as I’m aware that feature is not available at tiddlyhost.com
I tried https://tiddlywiki.fission.app/ and all I see is a spinning logo and the words “authorising with fission”.
How long should you wait for this authorising to finish or is their a problem with this page.
Any help users could offer would be much appreciated.
You need an email address to sign up, but after that just a username is used with no passwords.
It’s a rather unique peer-to-peer system that is designed this way to not rely on centralized large companies like Twitter or Google, and to provide end to end encryption so no one, including Fission, can access your data.
It’s definitely different from other systems which can make it feel confusing.
We’d like to enable login with other systems but we’re balancing that against our principles: if we can’t do it securely or in a way that gives power to Twitter or Google to block logins we won’t do it.
You’ll need to create an account and then after authorise you’re in, where you can create a new edition.
If you did create an account and are having trouble, let me know your username?
I haven’t published a step by step walkthrough precisely because we’re very much still working on the system. Happy to help you get it up and running if you’re adventurous!
Thanks @boris I tried a few moments ago before you put up your last post and it was the same. I’ll give it another try and if successful, let you know

Understood. The advantage of con-joint login is simplification for the end-user. I think there a lot of us now with over 50 logins to maintain. At a certain point you get fed up with adding “just one more” login. This is a generic issue on the net, no reflection on you or Fission.
