Genealogical and galactic tree of Linux distributions

Inspired by the Explore Linux Project, I got from there a start-point of data and made GeneaLinux, a TiddlyWiki for exploring the Linux genealogy in a graphical way.

It has two modes:

  1. Genealogical (no special resources required): which is an horizontal tree generated with Tidgraph plugin, browsable by levels.
  2. Galactic (with high CPU/GPU usage): shows the very, very large Linux genealogy as a whole, interconnecting distros and their derivatives in a zoomable “galaxy” of clustered nodes, which is generated with TW5-Graph plugin and tw5-vis-network plugin.

Both modes takes the same data to show the graphs. XLS Utils plugin and JSZip plugin are used to import data as tiddlers from a spreadsheet.

If you know about a distro which isn’t been showing, your help is appreciated. I’m thinking about the best way for make this project a collaborative one.
