Firefox not saving stuff

With firefox, tw 5.2.0 single file don’t save my text when I edit or create a tiddler. And now I see the same thing with 5.1.23. It must be something in my config.

Out of curiosity, has somebody ever had such a problem?

You need to tell us what your saving mechanism is.

standard single file tiddlywiki without any plugin added. thhis is under linux. my firefox has a bit of plugins though. I will look into that of course. But it’s gonna take time and I was eager to know if I was alone or not.

So you’re using the default download file saver mechanism? Also know as the ‘fallback saver’ ?

Yes but this is not the problem. I did not used the proper term to describe the problem.

Here it is well stated: if I create or edit a tiddler, any change to the text field is lost when I validate the tiddler. Plain and simple. All the other fields are taken into account.

If you download an empty TW and try it, does it also exhibit the problem?

Edit:
I’m not experiencing this problem with Firefox 94.0 on Linux.

To add to @Mark_S’s suggestion, if it’s not happening with an empty wiki, the easiest way to get it working again is probably to drag and drop all of the tiddlers you want to keep into a new empty wiki.
