Finally! This is how I shall use TiddlyWiki

I want TiddlyWiki to be my command center in organizing my digital data, helping me keep track of simple tasks (things to do) and also more complicated tasks (projects). in addition I want to use it for journalling and as a repository of all sorts of personal knowledge.

In recent months I’ve been experimenting with a few other applications, including Obsidian, Trilium, Logseq and Joplin. Each of them have their individual advantages and disadvantages which I need not enumerate, because what I may see as a big advantage or disadvantage may not be so for somebody else.

After a long deliberation I found that I can achieve the above objectives using the TiddlyTools plugin for its Calendar and Alarms and Projectify for tasks and projects. I also added the Shiraz plugin for some other customization features. I could probably manage only with TiddlyTools, but Projectify is useful as it’s a bit easier to add tasks with a shortcut and also to record tasks with no scheduled date (quick and dirty to do). Also you can convert tasks to Projects without scheduling them.
I also consider useful to have a few other plugins including Stroll and Tiddler Commander.

I’m pretty well set to begin.

To have bidirectional links and ZetleKasten flavor in your personal wiki you may consider Mehregan Edition — a personal knowledge management app (kookma.github.io). It is an edition with several pre-installed plugins, but you can remove unwanted addons and install new one you like!

Thank you for the suggestion. It’s fascinating how much can be done with TiddlyWiki. You have taken it to a very sophisticated level! I like the Mehregan edition and I could easily transition to it in the near future. Currently I have bidirectional links installed and it should cover many requirements.
