I’m observing some curious behavior with transclusion and I’m not sure how to deal with it.
I have a template that I’m using in my Kansas Railroad TW to take information from fields of the railroad and “automatically” build sentences using those fields. I’ve noticed that when I have the transclusion at the very end of the sentence and I put a period just after the transclusion, there is a space between the transclusion and the period.
Here is an example directly from my view template:
The capital stock was set at {{!!capital}}.
The result of that is:
There is a period in the field text as well to highlight the issue. It does not matter if I use the curly braces or the widget syntax, the behavior is the same.
Anyone have any idea on why this is happening and if there is a way to not have it happen? I know I can take the period out of the template and have it in the field, but I’d like to understand what’s going on for future reference.
