Egiffanies - a journaling idea to consider

I cobbled this together this morning for a specific project, and thought I would share it.

Maybe this setup will help some, maybe not.

Maybe the notes in the slider will make you think, maybe not.

Or maybe it will serve as an example of how to do simply worded documentation, or maybe not.

If you think it should be modified, feel free to modify it and offer it under your own name. I am just throwing this out there and moving on. I don’t plan to do maintain it or do anything more with it. I don’t even like the name, but I can’t be bothered to change it.

Just play with it and have fun. Or not.

Thanks for Sharing David. It is great to see how others are thinking about such approaches. You have effectively published a simple stand alone edition for taking notes and organising them with topics

As you say we may want to note Epiphanies and experience’s.

Just now I “discovered” a new thing to write, I call it “context”.

For example a project that is on a slow boil, when I return to the project after a time it is difficult to “re-immerse” myself in its particulars.

It dawned on me that just after I have spent some time on the project and things are clear to me I could write a “contextual note” which captures in a high level sense, key factors and concepts that relate to the project. It may include references, links and other details I would otherwise need to find when restarting.

Such a context note would help

  • Restarting a project after a period of time has faded ones memory
  • Increase the searchability of the activity through what may be found in the context note
  • Provide a healthy habit or reviewing your work before putting it aside, effectively reflection,

Cool! Thanks for sharing, Tones!

Ha! Really nice! Useful!

Your occasional posts of personal Ecumenical Revelations are really good to see. They put TW in a clear usage context.

I think end-users not so familiar with the esoterics of TW really benefit from that.

(PS: You also have a great sense of fun that lightens everything )
