Dynaview-Plugin working with the latest version of TW?

Hello Wizards,
I has been some time that @jeremyruston made the Dynaview-Plugin.
It provides a mechanism to sense whether a tiddler is visible part of the onscreen or not.
This makes possible lazy-loading images and videos in the story. I recently made an attempt to install it on a new TW 5.2.x but I failed. Has anyone implemented it in a recent version.

…could the cascade mechanism be used to make the dynamic display easier than in the demo above?

Apologies, it works - my version was too old and not too new.
None the less:
Could the cascade-mechanism provide a smarter way to do this than the $:/core/ui/ViewTemplate used there?
