[Discussion] How to reduce the size of your Tiddlywiki

Yea, … There is room for misunderstanding. … So we need to add more docs, so users don’t mess up their wikis.

IMO every “multil-file” wiki served from a server should provide a button to download a “single file wiki”. If that’s the case we should be save.

FYI you can try external core style TiddlyWikis on Tiddlyhost now, see External core TiddlyWikis on Tiddlyhost for more details.

Thanks @papiche for the IPS link ! Are you the one that hosted it ? Maybe tiddlywiki could officially use IPS for distributing core content ?

EDIT:

I updated the demo wiki and made a clone using IPFS to compare the two:

Github page is slightly faster according to PageSpeed Insights, but IPS seems to be more stable:

https://pagespeed.web.dev/report?url=tiddlywiki-5-2-5-external-js.tiddlyhost.com

Results: scores = 63 , 54, 62

vs

https://pagespeed.web.dev/report?url=tiddlywiki-5-2-5-external-js-ips.tiddlyhost.com

Results: score = 46 , 46, 46

Anyone can confirm this ? Which would be better, what are the pros and cons of each hosting solution ?

EDIT: I hosted the core on cloudflare, so far they have the best results with a score of 74 at best, 62 at worst!
