Discourse on Discourse: The transition period should be long

Searching for topics in GG has become increasingly frustrating (they want to limit you to titles, or GROUP NAMES). I often just hit google search and prefix it with “site:groups.google.com”, and still end up getting mostly mirrored/archived copies of posts.

Discourse is a lot better in that regard.

I still find it a time consumer compared to reading the GG everyday for many years.

In principIe I find things much faster here… but I see a certain danger of addiction.

So far on Discourse I have been able to find relevant posts much easier than on GG it ever was. It is kinda ironic in that the GG is Google owned!
