Contributing to the links project

I wish to join our common resource collection, i.e https://links.tiddlywiki.org
(…yeah, shoulda joined years ago!)

  1. The gh join list seems to only use lowercase letters for the names, and no space chars. I would like for my name to be “Mat von TWaddle” (just like given to me at birth) or at least “MatVonTWaddle”. This possible?

  2. I want to propse doc PRs to the very links site (for example, I think the About tab that states “you must maintain a publicly accessible TiddlyWiki containing the links” should also briefly propose Tiddlyhost for this). Where/how do I make doc PRs to the links site?

I don’t know what the real naming rules for your first question is. I guess you could try it and see if anything breaks

For the 2nd question, you make changes just like a github project at

You fork it, create a branch for your changes, make your changes, and submit them as a PR. The About page is located here.

Edit Are your proposed changes simple text changes? Maybe I can help. Here’s the current text:

This site is a collection of links to useful and interesting TiddlyWiki material curated by our team of community editors.

How This Site Works

This site aggregates links curated by individual members of the TiddlyWiki community. It lets you see the latest links, and explore them through categories and timelines.

This site works best with a crowd of people posting links. The pressure on individuals is reduced because not everybody needs to catch every interesting link that flies past. The aggregation effects reduce the impact of mistakes. For example, if one person mis-tags a link under an inappropriate topic, the site will show that only one person added that tag, versus the majority using more appropriate tags. In that way, we hope that a sort of wisdom of the crowds will emerge, with consensus emerging as to the most useful ways to describe and categorise links.

Some topics are combined and relabeled during the link import process. Read more here:

@Mark_S - thank you! OK, I’ll just try the name thing and see how it goes, and I’ll get back on the text proposals here.
