Is it possible to install this Codemirror plugin in Tiddlywiki: Speak-andSpell? Like many others, I have been quite bothered by the lack of a spellchecker in Codemirror and I am still looking for a viable solution.
have you looked at the current codemirror 6 release that @BurningTreeC is developing, spell check was available when I was last using it. it is independent of the browser spell check because as I understand it code mirror does not use a simple text area, after all it is in some ways a line based editor.
I do have a custom editor preview that infact uses the default editor in which you can use the browser spell checker. if you want it just ask.
I was following the discussion quite keenly but stopped when @BurningTreeC stated in one of the replies that it is definitely not ready for production. Maybe I’ll try it out.
Thanks for the offer. Does that mean you need go back and forth between the editable text and the preview?
yes, but often it’s sufficient to do it at the end of a writing spree and just a highlight is often enought to address a typo. but I use codemirror primarily for coding, otherwise I disable the plugin, although this may change given the features of Burning trees codemirror 6 is just so feature rich.
