In the French-Acadian that I know, there are all kinds of colloquial versions of “strange fellow” that start with "Drôle de/d’ … "
In my French-Acadian dictionary, I want the ability to easily link words to expressions, each word being a tiddler, each expression being a tiddler. I don’t want to create a tiddler for every variation of an expression based on a bunch of interchangeable words in that expression.
Here’s what I’m thinking of doing:
The expression as a template tiddler:
Each word that can be used in the expression will be added as a tag to the expression tiddler.
The presentation of words will be done via some template, and that template will have a section for expressions. All expressions that use that word will be retrieved via some filter, and the word will replace the “…” placeholder in the expression.
Using a hard-coded word just for testing/demonstration:
{{{ [[agrément]] || drôle de/d' ... }}}
Other examples:
drôle d’amanchure
drôle de moineau
