FYI, I like the “figure” / “chart” a lot, like Tufte did in his “The Visual Display of Quantative Information” — where he describes it as foremost a Narrative Graphic of Time & Space (page 40).
Cutting to the quick Getting to the point of how / if this is relevant to TW work?
I was just wondering, in my OP, what others thought.
My own view, as of now, is some of the myriad goodnesses of Minard’s (1885) depiction of Napolean’s disasterous Russian Campaign could be conveyed in a TW.
Recently the spate of graphic / chart / diagram add-ons. I also think the precision and easy layering in the TiddlyTools PasteUp could give the dimensions needed to explicate the Minard, perhaps.
