Bug: When importing image into open tiddler, renaming the image has no effect

I have Tiddlywiki 5.2.2 as a plain HTML file which I use via Brave Browser. I have Windows 10.

Here’s the process of how I found the bug.

  1. I used a screen shot program (Prtscn) to make a screen shot of a browser window. I believe this puts the image in the Windows clipboard.
  2. I put a tiddler in Edit mode and the tiddler is using the TW markup language.
  3. I put my cursor in the tiddler where I wanted to paste the image and hit CTRL-V. A TW Import dialog appeared although I had to scroll up to find it. The default image name is “image.png” but I wanted to change that.
  4. I clicked the Edit (pencil) button in the popup window for the image. I renamed the image to “myimage.png”.
  5. I clicked OK on the image paste Import dialog.
  6. TW ignored my renamed image and saved the image under “image.png”. It did place the correct “image.png” in the tiddler.

Another issue: When I am in a tiddler in edit mode and click the “insert image” button, a list of images appears but they are way to small for me to see what they are.

Did you click the “check button” in step 5?
That’s a known problem.

Nope. That must be the issue. I just clicked Import.

Alternatively if you have relink installed, import then open the image tiddler and rename it, and it will update all references to it.
