Announcing TiddlyTools for TW5

I’m pleased to announce that TiddlyTools for TW5 is now available at https://TiddlyTools.com, and the old TiddlyTools for TWClassic has been relocated to https://TiddlyTools.com/Classic.

https://TiddlyTools.com is now the official distribution point for all my published TW5 addons.

Note that TiddlyTools for TW5 includes all the tiddlers previously published as separate pages ( timer.html, filtergenerators.html, auto-scroll.html, edit-list.html, and savechanges.html). The separate pages are currently still available but are not being updated with the latest bug fixes/feature enhancements, and will eventually be replaced by redirections to the main https://TiddlyTools.com page.

You should always go to https://TiddlyTools.com to get the most up-to-date revisions for all TiddlyTools add-ons.

Take note of the following important changes:

  • Tiddlers from filtergenerators.html have been renamed from “TiddlyTools/FilterGenerators/…” to “TiddlyTools/Search/…” to provide shorter names that more accurately reflect their purpose.

  • Some configuration settings previously stored in $:/config/TiddlyTools/Time has been moved to separate tiddlers (e.g., $:/config/TiddlyTools/AutoSaver, $:/config/TiddlyTools/Calendar, etc.) in order to make installation of those add-ons more portable, less interdependent, and generally easier to manage.

enjoy,

Thanks so much for the work and content you do for the Community Eric. You are a living legend.

Wonderful!

Other than TW itself, I’d say TiddlyTools and Mr. ELS himself were absolutely critical for me when I got into TW circa 2007. Here is a post from my early days that expresses my feelings back then, and it is still valid:

WHOAAAA!!! I haven’t had a chance to try anything out yet, but I
can’t tell how excited this makes me, not to say flattered!!!

The following is not intended for Mr.Shulmans ears. I’m only talking
to you other guys:

Guys… I’m discussing with the Nobel Prize Academy here in Stockholm
about a nomination for Mr.Shulman. Daaemn - he should at least be
nominated King of TW. I hope I’m not stepping on anyones toes by
expressing this, but this mister must have single-handedly contributed
20% of all TW extensions out there. And if we limit it to the most
usable ones, then an even higher percentage. And how about his
generous participation on the various boards - even spending time on
questions from small guys like me. And those answers - they’re just
encyclopedic!

Maybe this admirers post is considered spam by someone… but I just
can’t hold it in;
Mr.Shulman is just ASTONISHING!
